Work Package 3 "Consultation & communication"
The main objective of this work package is to involve national and European stakeholders and relevant organisations in the process of the development of a methodology for the sustainability assessment of buildings, to guarantee a wide acceptance. The consultation with stakeholders is organised through national and trans national meetings.
3rd Trans-national Expert workshop (TEW)
The last of three trans-national expert workshops was held on the 26th of september 2007 in Prague. The different target groups of the methodology (architects, owners, promoters and national/local authoritieswere given the opportunity to test the methodology themselves on a case study building.
April 2007: 2nd Trans National Expert workshop
The second of three trans-national expert workshops was held on 17th of april 2006 in Zwitserland. The experts discussed the framework and content of the methodologty. More information on the 2nd TEW will be availbale soon on this page.
November 2006: 1st Trans National Expert Workshop
The first trans national expert workshop was held in November 2006 in Brussels. The aim of the workshop was the exchange of information with experts from different countries and with different backrounds (social, economical and evironmental). The experts involved researchers and designers and representatives of entreprises and public bodies. The main topics for discussion on this first workshop were both sustainability issues for buildings and the methodology of a label. The key questions focussed on:
- CEN/TC350 development
- Social housing
- Economic aspects
The panel discussion focussed on:
- Acceptance of a label for sustainable building, effects on real estate market
- Comparison of environmental, social and economical criteria
- The type of label, criteria, structure and boundaries (building itself, building environment)
- Consideration of specific regional and national aspects
